From Paros port and airport to Naoussa or Parikia

First identify your arrival point

Paros ferry port is in Parikia; Paros Airport is south of town. If your accommodation is in Parikia, a ferry arrival may be walkable, while an airport arrival still needs road transport. Naoussa is on the north coast, so both ferry and flight passengers need an onward journey unless a hotel transfer is included.

Arriving by ferry in Parikia

For a Parikia hotel, check the actual walking route rather than the straight-line distance. Old-town paving, steps and luggage change what “near the port” means. For Naoussa, KTEL buses run from Parikia and become frequent in the main season, but the timetable changes. A taxi or pre-booked transfer costs more and removes waiting; reserve ahead when several ferries arrive close together.

Do not plan a tight bus connection from a ferry. Sea conditions and port traffic can shift arrival time. Leave margin, especially for the last useful service of the day.

Arriving at Paros Airport

KTEL buses connect the airport with Parikia. Whether and how often buses run on to Naoussa in summer changes with the timetable. Bus journey time and taxi fare depend on time of day and traffic, so we give no figures here: check the current KTEL timetable and taxi quote before travel.

Naoussa passengers may have a direct seasonal bus, a change in Parikia, or a taxi, depending on arrival time. A late flight is the strongest case for arranging transport before landing.

Bus, taxi or hire car?

Choose the bus if your arrival matches the timetable and you can handle luggage. Choose a taxi or transfer for late arrivals, young children, reduced mobility or accommodation far from a stop. A hire car makes sense when it also serves several beach and village days; it is an expensive solution to one transfer if it then stays parked.

If you do want a vehicle, compare car hire for Paros only after checking excess, deposit, fuel policy and the accommodation’s parking. Never assume a rental may be taken to Antiparos: ask the supplier for written permission.

The low-stress plan

Save the current KTEL timetable offline, send your arrival details to the accommodation and keep the taxi numbers for Parikia or Naoussa. For a ferry, avoid buying an onward arrangement with no delay margin. For a flight outside the busy season, do not assume the summer Naoussa bus still runs.
